Restore a Single Website using JetBackup

You have the ability to recover single websites using our JetBackup recovery tool. With the ability to choose a directory, and databases, you can restore specific websites back to a point in time of your choosing. To do this, you can follow the steps below.

Restore the Filesystem

Data Loss Warning: This action is irreversible and any data since the last backup will be lost. We cannot provide support for files that have been deleted by mistake.

To begin the process of restoring your website, you can do so by going to the Restore & Download tab within Jetbackup and following the steps below:

  1. Select the Home Directory tab, and find the corresponding folder for your installation. If you are using Softaculous, follow this guide to find your folder location.
  2. Select the date of the backup you want to restore.

  3. Click Change Files Selection, and check the appropriate folder to recover that you found in the Softaculous guide above, or wherever you have stored your website files.
  4. Click Select Files.
  5. Click the Restore button at the bottom if you wish to initiate the restoration (or Download if you wish to export the file)

Restore the Database (If Applicable)

Data Loss Warning: This action is irreversible and any data since the last backup will be lost. We cannot provide support for databases that have been deleted by mistake.

For sites that require a database like WordPress, InvoiceNinja, or OpenCart, you can also restore the database to the same point in time to ensure that the entire site can be recovered. Without restoring the database, not all changes to your site may be reverted back to the point-in-time of your choosing.

To begin the process of restoring your database, you can do so by going to the Restore & Download tab within Jetbackup and following the steps below:

  1. Select the Databases tab, and find the corresponding database for your installation. If you are using Softaculous, follow this guide to find your database name.
  2. Select the database by clicking it (it will highlight orange). To ensure that you do not break your installation, it is HIGHLY recommended to restore the database to the same date that you restored the files to above. To change the date of the backup, click Choose Other Backup and select the corresponding date.
  3. Click the Restore button at the bottom if you wish to initiate the restoration (or Download if you wish to export the file)

Restore Your Entire cPanel Account using JetBackup

In certain cases, you may wish to restore your entire cPanel account, including your domain configuration, websites enclosed, and the email accounts included as well. In these cases, you will want to do a full account recovery with our JetBackup tool. This tool will restore your account to a specific point in time of your choosing at the click of a button.

Data Loss Warning: This action is irreversible and any data since the last backup will be lost. We cannot provide support for files that have been deleted by mistake.

To begin the process of restoring your Full Account, you can do so by going to the Restore & Download tab within Jetbackup and following the steps below:

  1. Select the Full Account tab, and select the date you wish to roll back your account to.
