Our Backup Policy
At Falls Technology Group, we prioritize the security and integrity of our clients’ data by implementing a comprehensive backup strategy. However, clients should not rely on our backups as their sole data protection method and are encouraged to maintain external backups.
Softaculous Backups
Maximum Backups
Clients are allowed a maximum of three (3) Softaculous backups per account.
Backup Purging
We will purge all local Softaculous backups automatically after 30 days to preserve your disk space.
External Backup Options
Clients have the option to configure Softaculous to store backups externally via:
- FTP
- FTPS
- SFTP
- Amazon S3
- Dropbox
- Google Drive
- WebDAV
- Microsoft OneDrive
JetBackup Daily Backups
Backup Frequency
We perform daily backups using JetBackup on all cPanel systems that covers the items listed below.
Backup Scope
Each of these items can be recovered independently per-category with any of the daily or weekly backups that are retained in your JetBackup system.
- Whole cPanel account
- Home directory
- CRON Jobs
- Databases
- Database Users
- Domains
- Certificates
- Email Accounts
- FTP Accounts
Please note that initiating a ‘Whole Account’ recovery on your website or cPanel account will result in your entire account being overwritten irreversably with the content found within the backup. We CANNOT undo a restoration once it has been performed, and Falls Technology Group, LLC is not responsible for data loss as a result of backup restorations.
Recovery Options
These backups are available for free recovery upon request and on-demand through your cPanel portal for FREE. If you need assistance with a recovery, please visit our help center or email ‘[email protected]‘
Backup recovery requests should be submitted to [email protected] with the specific time and date of the desired recovery.
On-Demand Backups
Users are allowed 1 backup on-demand that will be retained for 5 days before our system will automatically remove the backup file.
Backup on-demand features will be suspended if your account is:
- Exceeding a disk space usage of 10 GB
Backup Storage Policy
- Backups should not be relied on as a primary source of data protection. Clients are strongly encouraged to maintain their own external backup solutions.
- Long-term storage of backups on our servers is explicitly prohibited. Any local backups stored on our servers for longer than 30 days will be automatically purged.
Backup Access & Restoration
- Clients can download JetBackup or Softaculous backups through the cPanel web interface.
- For full recovery services, clients may request a restoration by contacting [email protected].
By using our hosting services, clients acknowledge and accept this backup policy. Falls Technology Group is not responsible for data loss due to reliance on our backups as the sole method of data retention.
